I have put in for a pass this week

No.6 East Avenue
Park Street
Luton

Dear Mother,
I received your loving letter (Mon) and was very pleased with it and also very pleased with the fags and especially the two halfpennies. Tell Aunt Rachel and Uncle Bill that I was sorry I did not go and see them but I was only home for 48 hours and it didn’t give you time for anything. And you can tell that her I went to London on Sunday on purpose to see Jack and when I got there he didn’t know me and that he said that he felt better then that what he did on Thursday and Friday. I will try and get to see her the next time I get home. I have put in for a pass this week but I don’t know whether they will grant me one or not. What I meant about passing the Doctor was that they wanted a reinforcement for the 5th Bat, And I was picked out for it. Well goodbye, with fondest love to all, from your loving son,
George
