Dear Mother

St. John’s Road,
Epping

Dear Mother,

I received the box and the letter. I was very pleased to hear from you and i see you meant me to have a good taste of everything. I have got a good billet and we have had pudding everyday where I am now and the landlady says she has took quite a fancy to Harry. It did seem funny when you said that Harriet was having porters because the peoples name here is Porter. I shall have a good go with Lily I can tell you. I can hear she is getting a nice belly again. Well give my best love to all at home and receive the same from your loving son,

George
